Through the development and implementation of exemplary community health, public health, and educational programs, the La Salle Neighborhood Nursing Center supports and enhances the teaching, learning and service mission of the School of Nursing.
The School of Nursing and Health Sciences and its Neighborhood Nursing Center will be positioned as a recognized provider of quality educational and public health programs serving urban populations.
The organization's general purpose is to provide access to public health, educational and community services to under-served populations residing in a multicultural, diverse urban community. Emphasis is placed on health promotion, injury prevention, screening, detection, and referral.

3) Working with families whose children have special needs, with the Health Intervention Program, to enroll in services or accompany families to their medical, social, or educational appointments.
